After Action Report: TMHS set up camp Saturday morning in a 3 acre park adjacent to the downtown area. VFW served "Ike Stew" on Saturday made from Eisenhowers very own recipe. 11 kompanie arrived to secure the location at the tree at 1700 hrs on the evening of 15 October. Scott arrived afterwards with 2 Fallschirmjager; Stan and Dean. Later on we had 2 US GI's Brian and Byron of the vaunted Texas 36th, Byrons brother Nathan who was with the Russian Army escorting two very nicely attired ladies.

We then proceeded down to Eisenhower's Birthplace for some wonderful stew and company in the form of Korean War veterans. After lunch and a small tour of the Birthplace we went back to camp for a weapons demonstration for the public. By this time, Aaron was there sporting his BAR, Brandon showed up incognito as we met to discuss other actions. Our weapons display was performed my Bryce and his k98 and Brian and his M1 Garand. The crowd loved it.

That evening, we visited a nice mom and pops diner for refreshments and of course (Rangers). With our batteries recharged we went back to camp and spent the evening by the campfire listening to the MVPA'ers talking about the vehicles. After a wonderful evening, we woke to a warm fire and I then changed gear to support Baker company. We spent most of the morning checking out our new loctions and tactical areas. As well as a little jeeping in a weapons carrier in the Red River. All I can say is that you will be pleased with our findings for tacticals and upcoming show battle. Here are some pictures of us crossing the Rhine, battling the baddies and some views of what we saw. That afternoon, Lynn Lawrence arrived with his Kubelwagen, as well as Aaron, Drew and his PPSH41. We all mounted on the vehicle and had a swell time waving to the public at the parade.

After the parade, we met at a small park in the middle of town and had a weapons demo with the k98, M1, BAR, and the PPSH. needless to say, the BAR was the all time favorite weapon. We then drove back to camp, said our goodbyes and drove off to our modern time life. The city loved everything about us and what we do. The vets told us amazing stories and even put and original POW tag on Andrew. Denison is welcoming us with open arms and wonderful forests. I look forward to visiting them again!
